The SIAM Conference on Optimization (OP26) is about to start! Looking forward to a great week of talks and discussions.

A few things I’m involved in this year:

• I’ve co-organized a minisymposium on Optimization and Learning on Manifolds.

• I’ll give an invited talk in the minisymposium Recent Advancements in Optimization Methods for Machine Learning.

• My student Andrea Meda will present our joint work on a momentum-based diagonal BFGS method.
